Site Coordinator

Hi my name is Ms. Brittany and I will be the Site Coordinator at Erickson Elementary and Parkridge Community Center.  I have a passion for exploration, learning new things, and completing arts and crafts.   I currently reside in Dearborn Heights, MI with my husband, three children, Sabrina, Elizabeth, and Xavier. I’m originally from Detroit, MI; where I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Eastern Michigan University and currently I’m working on my Masters in Higher Education. I hold my CPR and First Aid certifications. I’ve worked in education for 8 years. I was a Teen Center Director prior to coming to Mentor to Youth.  I continually renew my certifications and participate in professional development to learn upcoming practices for education. What I love most about teaching/ mentoring is the opportunity to build relationships with my students, their families and the community. I enjoy watching my students grow and accomplish developmental skill sets. I believe that every student is important and capable of achieving their goals as long as they try their best and put forth an effort.

I’m excited to be a part of the Mentor to Youth family and I look forward to an amazing school year.
