Emmanuel Jones, BBA

Executive Director

Emmanuel Jones is a self-motivated and highly driven individual. A social entrepreneur, Emmanuel is the founder and executive director of Mentor2Youth, a non-profit whose mission is to ensure disadvantaged youth have a promising future in Washtenaw County through educating and empowering them to excel in life, academics and work. A proven leader and visionary, Mr. Jones has played an integral part in the tremendous success of Mentor2Youth, serving 450+ youth since its inception in October of 2011.

Emmanuel’s also provides business and career coaching to professionals and organizations in areas of business/strategic planning, marketing, personal branding, career advancement/transitioning, program design/development and resume writing.  His previous experience lies in the educational field teaching, tutoring, academic mentoring and working in childcare.

Mr. Jones is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a BBA in Entrepreneurship. He is currently attending Eastern Michigan to attain his Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology.

Emmanuel promotes community and self-empowerment and is passionate about business and youth development. He serves on the board of Communities That Cares Coalition of Ypsilanti and the Young Non-Profit Professionals Network of Washtenaw County. Recently nominated and accepting the position of Vice President with the AAYBCC, Mr. Jones looks forward to connecting local high school youth to job and career exposure opportunities for their social and professional advancement in Washtenaw County.


Devan Wetzel

Site Coordinator

Devan is currently a junior at Eastern Michigan University majoring in Elementary Education with two minors in Mathematics and Language Arts. She is also a member of the Honors College and is starting to plan her senior thesis. Her dream is to work in an inner-city school after college to help change the lives of at-risk youth through education. Devan wants to make learning enjoyable and interesting for her future students.

Starting off as a volunteer in January 2015, Devan is now the Site Coordinator for the Future Leaders Program at Parkridge Community Center. She loves working for Mentor2Youth and cherishes the amazing relationships she has developed with her students and their families, her co-workers and the staff at Parkridge.

Residing in Saline, Michigan, she lives with her mom, dad, grandma, and younger brother Logan. On the weekends she also works at The Resale Boutique as a sales associate. Devan enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, shopping, watching movies and creating lesson plans.
